Course Description
This is a course based on Dep[Ed’s Curriculum Guides for grade 7 students. It is designed for use by in any public or private school, in a blended learning environment.
Learning can be instructor led, but delivered asymmetrically. It can also be used by students in private schools which have not yet reopened.
Recommended also to self-paced learner to develop self motivation, critical thinking, inquisitiveness, and a learning-for-life attitude.

Learning Competencies
Numbers and Number Sense
The learner…
illustrates the union and intersection of sets and the difference of two sets.uses Venn Diagrams to represent sets, subsets, and set operations.represents the absolute value of a number on a number line as the distance of a number from 0.performs fundamental operations on integers.performs operations on rational numbers;determines between what two integers the square root of a number is.writes numbers in scientific notation and vice versa.solves problems involving real numbers
Measurement
The learner…
approximates the measures of quantities particularly length , weight/mass, volume, time, angle and temperature and rate; converts measurements from one unit to another in both Metric and English systems.
Patterns and Algebra
The learner…
translates English phrases to mathematical phrases and vice versa; differentiates between constants and variables in a given algebraic expression; evaluates algebraic expressions for given values of the variables; classifies algebraic expressions which are polynomials according to degree and number of terms; adds and subtracts polynomials; solves problems involving algebraic expressions; finds the solution of linear equation or inequality in one variable.
Geometry
The Learner…
classifies the different kinds of angles; derives relationships among angles formed by parallel lines cut by a transversal using measurement and by inductive reasoning; derives inductively the relationship of exterior and interior angles of a convex polygon; solves problems involving sides and angles of a polygon.
Statistics and Probability
The Learner…..
gathers and organizes data in a frequency distribution table; illustrates the measures of central tendency (mean, median, and mode) of a statistical data; illustrates the measures of variability (range, average deviation, variance, standard deviation) of a statistical data; calculates the measures of variability of grouped and ungrouped data; draws conclusions from graphic and tabular data and measures of central tendency and variability.
Assessments
There is a short quiz at the end of each Lesson or Topic. Students can take quizzes anytime. There is no limit to the number of times a quiz can be taken.
